The leading names of the cement and ceramics industry came together at the Sustainability Meetings organized by Escarus in cooperation with Dünya Newspaper to discuss the dynamics of these sectors industries.

“It is very important to supply energy to the domestic cement industry so as to cause a reduced climate change effect in the in order to reduce carbon emissions” said Ms. Hülya Kurt, General Manager of Escarus. Discussing the importance of operating the facilities more feasibly with the changes to be made and providing alternative energy supply sources, Kurt added, “The use of waste tires, which have become widespread in recent years, as fuel is a good example in this respect. With such solutions, the specific energy consumption of our factories, that is, the energy they consume per ton of cement, may go down, also resulting in reduced carbon footprints over time.”
