Water footprint assessment enables organizations to manage their water consumption
more efficiently and sustainably, identify water-related risks, and develop proactive
solutions to address these risks. In addition, clearly communicating water consumption
and reduction targets through transparent reporting helps organizations address
stakeholder expectations and demonstrate their environmental accountability. These
processes not only improve environmental performance but also enhance operational
efficiency and generate cost savings.
The ISO 14046:2014 Water Footprint Standard defines the requirements for calculating
and reporting water footprints and sets out criteria for assessing the environmental
impacts of water use. In line with this standard, Escarus identifies the reporting
boundaries and methodologies for organizational water footprints, followed by a detailed
calculation and reporting process. Following the reporting process, Escarus contributes
to the development of action plans to reduce the organizational water footprint and
provides training services to strengthen employees’ awareness and competencies in
this area.
